Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 May 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Hunter App, including the website, the mobile app and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing up for updates, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for holding any hunting licences, permits and approvals required by the laws of the state or territory in which you hunt.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Break any applicable law, regulation or hunting rule.
  • Hunt in areas where hunting is not permitted, outside permitted seasons, or in breach of any licence condition.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, dox or endanger any person.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the Service except as expressly permitted by law.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive or that you do not have the right to share.

4. Maps, GPS and safety

Map data, GPS coordinates, hunting area boundaries and weather overlays are provided as a guide only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You are solely responsible for your navigation, firearm handling, and personal safety in the field. Do not rely on the Service as your only means of navigation or safety communication. Always carry an appropriate backup, such as a paper map, compass and a means of emergency communication.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of waypoints, tracks, notes, photos and other content you create in the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, transmit and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you and for any people you choose to share it with.

6. Third-party data

The Service may include third-party data such as DPI maps, Athena maps, satellite imagery and weather forecasts. That data is subject to the terms of the relevant provider and may be modified or removed at any time. We do not guarantee its accuracy or availability.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Where the Service includes paid features, prices, billing periods and renewal terms will be shown at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

8. Availability and changes

The Service is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed. We aim for high uptime but we do not guarantee the Service will be available without interruption or free of defects.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee or right that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD 100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably believe doing so is needed to protect the Service or other users.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

12. Contact
